Lectures and Cooking Demonstrations
Suyeon offers her own unique lectures based on her extensive experience as a chef, journalist, and educator. She has knowledge and experience ranging from Korean history, politics, to US - Northeast Asia diplomacy.
If a kitchen is available, she will demonstrate various Korean recipes.
But even in a regular classroom without a kitchen, you can experience her rich cooking skills with the feeling of making food together. She will introduce the dish using the PT file and will explain the background of the dish.
For example, while lecturing on Korean royal cuisine, she will explain why Korean royal cuisine, which appeared at the inter-Korean summit dinner, had important diplomatic significance. She will also explain the symbolic meaning of the various menu items served at the summit. During previous lectures, audience members found this information about the political significance of the dishes very interesting.
This lecture even appealed to those who were not passionate about cooking.
Cooking Activity for Kids
Suyeon has created special health food programs for children age 5-13. Her children's bibim workshop is a hands-on cooking activity that can be either 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Children choose healthy ingredients, learn about healthy food, play with music and make bibimbap together.
Food Writing
Drawing from her experience as a journalist, Suyeon has created stories about food and recipes. Her food stories were published in various magazines and newspapers along with her own photographic illustrations. She has also worked with renowned food photographers.

Meal Planning
Healthy food has been on Suyeon's agenda since she was young. Due to her father’s diabetes, she has been involved in adult disease prevention and treatment foods since childhood. Sue was the leader of the diabetes food community and holds a Healthy Living Nutrition Certification from eConnell University. Sue creates menus based on the customers’ health status and taste preferences.
Recipe Development for Commercial Fields
Sue will show you how to make the most of your restaurant's supplies and add delicious Korean food as appetizers or entrees. Sue worked as a chef at the Meju restaurant, where she developed creative and popular menus. She knows what kind of Korean food Americans enjoy.
